Learning & Development Advisor

Location - Bristol
Employment Type - Full Time - Permanent
Salary - £27,000 - £31,000 depending on experience
Hours Per Week - 37.5

As a Learning & Development (L&D) Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, development, and implementation of learning initiatives that contribute to the professional growth and effectiveness of our employees. This position requires a strategic mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consultation and Advisory: Provide expert advice and guidance to business units on learning and development matters. Collaborate with managers to support the development of their teams through targeted learning interventions.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance, completion certificates, and other relevant documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to training documentation.
  • Training Needs Assessment: Collaborate with business leaders and HR partners to conduct thorough needs assessments. Analyse data and feedback to identify gaps and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
  • Programme Design and Development: Design and develop engaging and effective learning programs aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate with subject matter experts to create relevant and impactful training content.
  • Learning Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and other learning events. Utilise various delivery methods, including instructor-led training, e-learning, and blended learning approaches.
  • Evaluation and Measurement: Establish and implement evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact and effectiveness of learning programs. Analyse data and feedback to continuously improve and enhance training initiatives.
  • Learning Technology Integration: Stay updated on learning technologies and tools, recommending and implementing new solutions as appropriate.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external training partners.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience in a Learning and Development role.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • You will be a confident communicator, able to influence stakeholder at all levels.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices.
  • Motivated to grow in your role and help others to grow in theirs
