In-House Solicitor

Location - Bristol
Employment Type - Full Time - Permanent
Salary - Up to £65,000
Hours Per Week - 37.5

The role of in-house solicitor is to support the Head of Legal Services and provide legal advice and support to the group. The in-house solicitor will perform their role by using their legal and commercial knowledge to best support the business in its endeavours whilst advising on risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work in collaboration with the other departments of the shared services company on contracts and project work.
  • You will be employed by the group shared services company and you will provide services and support to the companies within the group.
  • Reporting directly into the Head of Legal Services and support him directly on the contracts side.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Quality experience in the Commercial field.
  • Commercial Contracts knowledge.
  • Drafting and Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle conflict and provide legal advice in an appropriate and timely manner and understand the effects of key regulatory issues on contractual terms.
  • An understanding of data protection would be desirable.
  • We would encourage applications from candidates from 2 -5 years PQE, having trained either an in-house environment or recognised commercial law firm.
  • Experience in the financial services industry would be desirable but not essential.
  • Able to make commercial decisions quickly and confidently.
