eLearning Developer

Location - Bristol
Employment Type - Full Time - Permanent
Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 with great benefits
Hours Per Week - 37.5

The eLearning Developer is accountable for contributing to, and influences, improved performance in the workplace at an individual, team and organisation level. You will be an agent for change, influencing key stakeholders, making decisions and recommendations on what the business can or should do in a Learning and Development context.

You’ll have the ability to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content. Linking the work you do to the strategic priorities of the business and measure the outcomes and impact of any learning interventions, to demonstrate a return on investment and expectation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances skills and knowledge
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Content Authoring Tool experience (i.e. ADAPT, articulate or similar)
  • Ability to foster and develop an embedded culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate the benefits of learning through data i.e. highlighting trends and recommending solutions to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Build effective working relationships with business managers, peers and other learning and development functions, together with relevant external organisations to deliver business results from learning and development plans and solutions
  • Communicate confidently with people at all levels, including senior management
  • Employ a range of questioning and listening skills to generate brainstorming, discussion and debate, learning and decisions
  • Be a role model for the learning and development team, inspiring and galvanising others around learning solutions, ensuring that learning is embedded and delivers ambitious goals, outcomes and timelines
  • Facilitate collective and social learning using innovative technological solutions
  • Experience in managing and maintaining an LMS
  • Ensure quality of learning and training delivery through providing feedback to colleagues to ensure continuous improvement of self and others
