Senior Reserving Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Opportunity to work as part of an experienced team with responsibility for:

• Internal regular reserve reviews
• Deep dive analysis on the portfolio
• Projects related to pricing or reserving
• Providing analysis and insights to the business and other stakeholders
• Reinsurance analysis and monitoring
• Presentations to senior stakeholders
• Process evaluation and efficiency improvements

Required Skills/Experience:

• Actuarial or statistical experience, preferably within Reserving, will consider candidates from a Pricing background
• Ideally experience of the UK motor insurance market
• Degree in a numerate subject
• Understanding of general insurance concepts
• Highly proficient user of Excel and other MS Office tools
• Coding experience with som of these – SAS/R/Python
• Knowledge of reserving support software – ideally ResQ and/or InsurSight
• Good communication and planning skills
• Enthusiasm to deliver and learn
