Project Manager

Location - Bristol
Employment Type - Full Time - Fixed Term
Salary - £50,000 - £60,000
Hours Per Week - 37.5

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Project Manager will be a key enabler for SBG to achieve its strategic objectives and growth goals. As the business continues to scale, the number of initiatives delivered across the business will increase in both size and complexity and the Project Manager will work with the wider change team to ensure projects are delivered on time and agreed benefits realised.

This role sits as part of the wider strategy team, responsible for strategy development right the way through to execution and will be key in providing capacity for the business to deliver change. The role will be a floating resource and deployed across the business to meet demand and priorities, this means that a successful candidate would be working across a variety of project types – from data / pricing to compliance.

As the business deploys a refreshed change governance process, this role will also be key in helping to embed best practice around change management across the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting business units in identifying project requirements, delivery timescales, and costs.
  • Developing detailed project plans to guide key stakeholders and revising based on changing needs and requirements.
  • Helping to ensure project resource availability and allocation.
  • Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery, and successful realisation of benefits.
  • Compiling and submitting project status reports for Programme Manager as part of newly implemented change governance framework.
  • Perform risk management to minimise any project risks.
  • Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
  • Working within wider project management discipline to help to embed best practice across the Group.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Project management qualification required
  • Experience working within Insurance or a regulated industry is desirable
  • Experience in delivering data / technology change is desirable
  • Proven experience in project management, successfully delivering a variety of change initiatives.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in delivery of technical projects around data / technology transformation.
  • Strong experience around project & budget tracking, and benefit delivery.
  • Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
