IT Administrator

Location - Bristol
Employment Type - Part Time - Fixed Term
Salary - £25,000 FTE, £15,000 pro-rata
Hours Per Week - 22.5

We are now recruiting for a part-time (22.5 hours per week) IT Purchasing and Asset Administrator to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract, due to nature of this role you will be required on site in Cribbs Causeway for your shifts.

We are looking for an administrator to take responsibility for delivering an effective and efficient purchasing and asset management service within the IT team. The successful candidate will work to stringent deadlines, managing their own workload with a strong focus on excellent time management.

Here at Somerset Bridge Group, we understand the importance of flexible working, so we are offering this as a part-time, hybrid position. You will be contracted to work 22.5 hours per week, but we will allow you to choose the working pattern that best suits you – Monday to Friday within the hours of 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Should you wish to develop your knowledge within the IT field, we would be happy to fund and support you through additional professional qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of all IT purchasing from request through to invoice, ensuring internal processes are maintained
  • Ordering of all hardware, software and licences from third party vendors
  • Vendor management and completion of due diligence on all procurement requests
  • Maintaining and managing the IT asset management process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Ensuring the accurate creation and updates of all records in the asset management database
  • Completing assigned asset management service desk tickets within agreed service levels and processes
  • Reviewing and identifying areas of improvement in the purchasing and asset management process
  • Controlling mobile device contracts, bills and our Mobile Device Management system
  • General team administration

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of working within an IT environment is desirable
  • Ability to follow documented policies and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and to prioritise workload
