Senior UX/UI Designer

Location - Bristol
Employment Type - Full Time - Permanent
Salary - £35,000 - £45,000 with great benefits
Hours Per Week - 37.5

We are recruiting for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our Design team in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. Working alongside the Design Lead and Graphic Designers, you will be the go-to person in the business for the design of new platforms and services for the company. You will be the voice of the user during the decision-making process and use your experience to guide the business into building effective digital solutions. Creating engaging and interactive digital platforms for our clients and internal brand.

You’ll have the ability to design functional, aesthetic, and accessible user interfaces and join at an exciting time working on a clients large complete re-branding project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide creative and user lead input when involved in new projects, concepts, and proposals
  • A deep understanding of research methodologies, usability, accessibility, and UI Design
  • To attend, give input and present relevant parts of client presentations and briefings as required in a professional manner
  • Be responsible for the quality & execution of your work to ensure you meet the brief, project specifications and brand guidelines
  • A self-motivated individual that takes ownership of their work to ensure all work is delivered on deadline and of the highest calibre
  • To keep up to date with all creative technologies, user behaviours and innovations
  • To attend client briefings as required in a professional manner

You’ll have the following skills & experience:

  • A proven track record of customer facing UX and UI
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your projects across a range of devices from mobile, tablet and desktop
  • 4+ years’ experience in hybrid UX/UI design
  • Design or Creative Degree or Masters
  • Experience working with website developers using CSS frameworks such as Tailwind and Bootstrap
  • The ability to take on-board constructive critique but also confident to challenge ideas with a user-centred approach
  • Experienced in presenting your work and sharing your knowledge and experience with the wider design team
  • A strong understanding of the full UX & UI end to end process from concept to finalisation 
  • Experience creating user flow diagrams, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and interactive designs 
  • Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines on multiple projects with strong attention to detail
  • Be confident evaluating user research, the user journey, testing and user feedback
  • Be willing to support the design team with non-related UX/UI projects during our busiest periods

Software Skills:

  • Master in Adobe XD, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop – Adobe creative suite.
  • Use of analytical software such as Google Analytics and HotJar
  • Microsoft suite, Google Workspace and Invision
